Smokey Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. onions, chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    4 c. milk
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. Smoked sausage links
    1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    1 (8 oz.) can lima beans (optional)
Preparation
    Cook onions in butter until tender, but not brown. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir in sausage links (I cut them in pieces). Simmer 10 minutes.
