Most Popular 1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 stick butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour, sifted before and after measuring
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Beat until sugar granules have dissolved and mixture is light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt together in bowl.
Then add flour mixture, alternating with milk.
Beat after each addition.
Add vanilla.
Pour into three greased 8 or 9-inch round layer cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
