Mom'S Party Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 whole chicken breasts, boned and halved
    garlic powder
    pepper
    8 slices Cheddar cheese
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
    1 c. dry white wine or 3/4 c. white vermouth
    1/3 c. butter, melted
    1 c. mushrooms, sliced
    2 c. stuffing mix
Preparation
    Remove skin and excess fat from chicken.
    Place chicken in an ovenproof baking dish.
    Sprinkle with garlic powder and pepper. Top each breast with a slice of cheese.
    Cover with mushrooms. Mix wine with soup and pour over chicken breasts, cheese and mushrooms.
    Lightly crumble stuffing mix over top.
    Dribble with melted butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
