Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. oysters, unwashed
    1/2 stick butter
    1/2 pt. milk, 1/2 cream
    2 eggs, well beaten
    pepper to taste
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Lightly butter bottom of saucepan.
    Saute oysters until edges curl.
    Add butter, let it melt.
    Add milk mixture and egg yolks. Add salt and pepper.
    Do not boil.
    Serve hot with oyster crackers.
