    speck of nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. Crisco
    flour (about 2 c.; start with 1 to 1 1/2 c.)
Preparation
Beat eggs; add soda to sour milk.
Put baking powder, nutmeg and salt into flour.
    Mix all ingredients, including Crisco.

Cut into small pieces about 2-inches square.
    Drop into hot melted Crisco.
They'll puff up and turn light brown when done.
