Fudge Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 (1 oz. each) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream together shortening, sugar and beaten eggs.
Add melted chocolate, then add vanilla, salt and flour (nuts, if desired). Blend by hand until fairly smooth.
Batter may be slightly lumpy. Pour batter into a greased 8 or 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
