Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco or 1 stick margarine
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 small can Angel Flake coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Mix.
Add egg yolks, mix.
Add flour and soda to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla, nuts and coconut.
Fold in egg whites.
Bake at 350\u00b0 in three greased and floured 8-inch cake tins.
Cool and frost.
