Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    5 eggs, separated
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. cake flour
    5 Tbsp. strong coffee
    4 tsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Divide sugar into 3 equal parts.
    Add 5 egg yolks and cream good.
    Add coffee and flavoring in buttermilk. Sift flour and measure.
    Second time, add cocoa, soda and salt. Sift again.
    Start with flour and add milk, but end with flour. Beat egg whites and fold into mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done. Makes 3 layers.
