The Best Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large apples, peeled and cored
    1/2 c. apple cider or juice
    1/4 c. sugar
    dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and allspice (your preference)
Preparation
    Cube apples.
    Place in 3-quart saucepan with juice or cider. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until tender.
    Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and the spice of your liking. Cook for 2 minutes longer.
    Mash in the pot or cool and puree
    in processor.
    Refrigerate up to two weeks.
