Apple Tapioca - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. tapioca
    1 c. light brown sugar
    4 c. sliced tart apples
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
    Let stand 5 minutes. Bring to a boil, stirring often.
    Reduce heat and simmer until apples are tender, about 12 minutes.
    Serve warm with a sprinkle of nutmeg and a scoop of ice cream.
    Also delicious served cold. Yield: 8 servings.
