Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 c. dates, cut up
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 tsp. baking powder
    vanilla
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 c water
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix milk, sugar, flour, dates, nuts, baking powder and vanilla. Pour into a 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Mix brown sugar, butter and water. Bring to a boil and pour over batter in pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
    This pudding makes its own sauce.
