Cheese Souffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 slices stale white bread (at least 1 day old)
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 c. milk
    4 eggs
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    dash of white or black pepper
Preparation
    Either butter the 9 slices of bread or dip each slice in melted butter.
    Cut off crusts and save.
    Cut remaining bread in cubes.
