Remarkable Multi Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 onion, sliced
    3/4 c. dry pinto beans
    3/4 c. dry kidney beans
    1 1/2 c. white beans
    1 bay leaf
    3 tsp. cumin
    healthy dash of cayenne
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. honey
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 green pepper, chopped
Preparation
    Boil water in a large pot; add onions, beans, spices and honey.
    Bring back to boiling.
    Lower heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
    Stir in tomato sauce and paste.
    Add green pepper.
    Taste and adjust seasonings.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 30 to 40 minutes until soup starts to thicken.
    If you can feel the beans colliding with the spoon, it is not ready.
    Cook until you can stir more smoothly.
