Mark Twain Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 cake yeast
    1 tsp. salt
    1 or 2 tsp. sugar
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Measure flour after sifting.
    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
    Mix dry ingredients with pastry blender.
    Add yeast and stir well.
    Add buttermilk.
    Place in greased bowl.
    Cover and refrigerate for several hours.
    Roll out biscuits.
    Place on greased pan.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 450\u00b0.
