Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon, diced
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 green pepper, diced
    4 stalks celery, diced (1 1/2 c.)
    2 lb. hamburger
    3 cans kidney beans
    2 cans stewed tomatoes (16 to 18 oz.)
    1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Season hamburger and
    saute
    in
    1 tablespoon butter or margarine.\tSet aside.
    In\tlarge
    Dutch oven or kettle, brown bacon.
    Add onion, diced
    green
    pepper
    and
    celery
    and cook until tender.
    Drain the hamburger.
    Add hamburger and rest of the ingredients to the Dutch
    oven
    and cook slowly at least 2 hours, but can be cooked longer.
    Serves 8.
