Caramel Puppy Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
24 caramels
1 c. peanut butter
1 large box rice cereal
3 c. powdered sugar

Preparation

Melt butter, chips and caramels in a medium saucepan.
(While these are melting, place cereal in a large bowl.) Add peanut butter to caramel mix; stir until well mixed.
Remove from stove; pour over cereal.
Stir to coat well.
Spread cereal on 1 to 2 sheets of waxed paper to cool (about 1 hour).
Return to bowl with a lid; top with powdered sugar.
Replace lid and shake!
