Irish Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lamb shoulder, cut in 1-inch cubes
    3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 carrots, cut in 2-inch lengths
    2 parsnips, cut in 2-inch lengths
    6 small onions
    5 small potatoes
    10 oz. pkg. garden peas
    2 Tbsp. parsley
Preparation
    Flour meat and brown in a small amount of hot fat.
    Add water, salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until meat is almost tender. Stir frequently. Add carrots, parsnips, onions and potatoes. Cook about 20 minutes or until done.
    Add peas and parsley. Cook about 5 minutes and serve hot.
