Sauerkraut Cocoa Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 c. sauerkraut, drained and chopped
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, beat the sugar and butter until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Add vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cocoa.
Add to creamed mixture, alternately with water.
Beat well after each addition.
Drain and chop sauerkraut.
Stir into batter.
Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes until done when tested.
