Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. Crisco
    5 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and baking powder and sift 3 times. Cream butter, sugar and Crisco.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Mix well. Add
    flour\tand
    milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
    Add flavorings.
    Cook in greased tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Test with toothpick.
    It may need to cook 5 or 10 minutes longer.
