Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    large onions, sliced 1/4-inch and separated in rings
    1/2 c. flour
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste)
Preparation
    Beat egg.
    Add flour and slowly add milk.
    Beat with a wire whisk to prevent lumps.
    Coat the onions and drop a ring at a time in hot grease.
    Brown on one side, then turn over.
    Remove to paper towel to drain.
    Dropping batter directly into grease gives you \"crunchies.\"
