Taffy Chips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 oz. chocolate
Preparation
    Boil molasses, sugar, vinegar and butter slowly until mixture hardens when tested in cold water.
    Stir gently as syrup thickens. Add vanilla.
    Pour on a buttered plate and cool.
    Cut in 1-inch squares.
    When cool, melt chocolate over warm water and dip the pieces in it.
    Cool on waxed paper.
