Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick butter
    1/2 c. dark or light Karo syrup
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. nuts, chopped
    1 (1-inch) sq. paraffin
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients (do not stir); cook on High for 4 1/2 to 5 minutes according to your microwave temperature.
    Remove from microwave.
    Add paraffin; stir until melted.
    Add nuts; return to microwave for 5 minutes.
    Remove from microwave and add baking soda; stir well.
    Pour into a pan sprayed with Pam and spread out immediately.
