Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. flour
3 eggs, separated
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar and flour in bowl.
Mix 1/2 cup milk and beaten egg yolks.
Scald 2 1/2 cups milk in double boiler.
Remove from boiler and gradually add to dry ingredients and egg yolk mixture. Return to double boiler, stirring until thick.
Remove from boiler, put in large pat butter and mix well.
Add vanilla.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites stiff.
Add 3/4 tablespoon cream of tartar and 6 tablespoons sugar.
Seal pie and bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
