Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cake flour
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
caramel frosting

Preparation

Beat shortening, sugar and eggs.
Combine dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk to first mixture. Beat well.
Add vanilla. Pour batter into two greased and floured 8-inch pans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven. Frost with favorite caramel frosting.
