Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 large onions, chopped
    2 (6 to 7 oz.) cans minced clams
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter
    4 c. milk
    1 bottle clam juice
    1 (10 oz.) can whole clams
    2 large, raw potatoes, pared and diced
    2 c. medium cream
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter until transparent.
    Add clam juice from bottle and from cans of clams.
    Add potatoes and cook until potatoes are tender.
    Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Reheat and serve.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
