Grandma Scheffer'S Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    3 bananas, mashed
    3 Tbsp. sour milk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Prepare loaf pan with waxed paper, greasing the ends of the pan.
    Preheat oven at 350\u00b0.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat.
    Add sour milk (may sour with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon vinegar) and bananas.
    Mix, then slowly add flour.
    Last add the soda (it may be mixed in a little warm water).
    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour (until toothpick comes out clean at 350\u00b0.
    Cool on rack, then remove from pan.
