Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sliced fresh peaches
    1/2 c. butter
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix peaches with 1/2 cup sugar.
    Let stand.
    Put butter in a 2-quart casserole.
    Place in a 325\u00b0 oven to melt.
    Combine remaining ingredients; mix until smooth.
    Pour over melted butter. Do not stir!
    Spoon peaches on top of batter.
    Do not stir!
    Bake for 1 hour in a 325\u00b0 oven.
    You can use canned peaches or other fresh fruit.
