Mama'S Tater Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 medium or large potatoes, chopped or cubed
    water
    3 to 4 green onions, chopped
    salt and pepper
    garlic salt to taste
    1 carrot, grated
    1 can evaporated milk
    1/2 stick butter
    2 sticks celery, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Cover potatoes with water and boil until tender.
    Pour off water but keep enough to make potatoes soupy.
    Mash potatoes into water.
    Add butter, onions, salt, pepper, garlic salt, carrot and milk.
