Savory Party Bread - cooking recipe

1 unsliced round loaf sourdough bread
16 oz. Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. green onions
2 to 3 tsp. poppy seeds
Preparation

Cut bread lengthwise and crosswise without cutting through the bottom crust.
Cut cheese into 1-inch squares, 1/4-inch thick. Place cheese slices in between bread cuts.
