Apple Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 apples, pared and sliced
    brown sugar
    cinnamon
    nutmeg (optional)
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    salt to taste
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    walnuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Place apples in greased pan.
    Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
    Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add egg and mix well.
    Add walnuts, if desired.
    Sprinkle crumb mixture over apples.
    Combine butter and lemon juice and pour over crumbs.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
