Virginia Supper Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
2 Tbsp. butter
1 lb. ground beef
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature
1 c. large curd cottage cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
1/3 c. finely chopped green onion
1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
Preparation

Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
Rinse with hot water; set aside.
Melt butter in skillet.
Add beef. Cook until lightly browned.
Drain off excess fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
Remove from heat.
Combine remaining ingredients in bowl; set aside.
Spread 1/2 of noodles in buttered 2-quart (12 x 8 x 2-inch) casserole and cover with 1/2 of cheese mixture.
Repeat.
Top with meat mixture.
Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Uncover; bake additional 10 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.
