Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add vanilla and eggs.
Beat until fluffy.
Set aside.
Sift together flour, soda and cream of tartar.
Add dry ingredients to butter mixture, beating until thoroughly mixed.
Chill overnight.
