Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. salad oil
1 c. oats (regular)
1 c. crushed corn flakes
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. soda
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add egg, mixing well, then salad oil, mixing well.
Add oats, corn flakes, coconut and nuts, stirring well.
Add flour, soda and nuts.
Mix well and form into balls the size of small walnuts.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with fork dipped in water.
Bake 12 minutes.
Allow to cool on cookie sheet a few minutes before removing.
(If substituting walnuts for the coconut, it takes longer to bake than 12 minutes.)
Makes 8 dozen cookies.
