Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 2/3 c. sugar
    1 c. Karo
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Boil, without stirring, to 265\u00b0 and then add coloring. Continue boiling to 290\u00b0 and add flavoring.
    Remove at 300\u00b0 from fire and pour onto greased marble slab or metal tray.
    Mark with knife and break apart with scissors when workable.
    Makes 2 1/2 pounds.
