Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix
    2 (3 1/2 oz.) boxes instant vanilla pudding mix
    1 (16 oz.) can cherry pie mix
    1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    2 (8 oz.) cartons whipped topping
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chopped pecans
    1 (7 oz.) pkg. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix per directions.
    Bake in 3 (9-inch) layer pans (layers will be thinner).
    Set aside to cool.
    Mix pudding according to directions.
    Refrigerate to set.
    Using 1/3 of each of the ingredients in order begin to layer them in 1 large glass punch bowl, starting with the cake:
    1 (9-inch) cake (broken into pieces), 1/3 cherry pie filling, 1/3 fruit cocktail, 1/3 pineapple, 1/3 topping and 1/3 coconut.
    Repeat 2 more times.
    Refrigerate until served.
    Serves 35.
