Chicken Paprika - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 chicken, cut for frying
1 onion, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. oil
salt and pepper
2 c. water
1 c. sour cream
Preparation

Brown chicken, salted and peppered, in oil in heavy pot. Remove chicken to saute onion.
Place chicken back in pot, add remaining ingredients except sour cream and simmer about 1 hour. The flour blends better if it is mixed with the water before adding to chicken mixture.
While mixture is simmering, it should be covered with tight lid.
Remove lid after simmering and add sour cream.
Allow to cook slowly for 5 minutes more.
Serve over cooked rice.
Serves 3 to 4.
