Ingredients

1 lb. brown sugar
2 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
baked pie shell
Preparation

Mix in double boiler top:
sugar and flour.
Stir in milk. cook over hot water, stirring constantly until thick (about 15 minutes). Add egg yolks, slightly beaten; cook 3 minutes and add butter; cool.
Add vanilla.
Spread into baked pie shell.
Cover with meringue and bake until lightly browned.
