Turkey Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 strips of bacon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. chopped onion
4 c. cooked, chopped turkey
4 c. pared, diced potatoes
2 c. light cream
1- can (14 1/2 oz.) chicken broth
1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Cook bacon by microwave (use meat rack) until crisp, reserving 1/4 c. drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside. In 3-quart casserole, cook onions in reserved drippings 3-4 minutes on High setting. Add potatoes, broth and salt. Cover, cook on high setting 10 minutes. Reduce power level to Medium High. Cook additional 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add turkey, cream, pepper and crumbled bacon. Cook covered 5-7 minutes on High setting or until heated.
