Southwest Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. stew meat
    1/2 c. flour
    vegetable oil
    3 medium onions, chopped
    3 large carrots, cut in 2-inch pieces
    3 medium red potatoes
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    1 (17 oz.) can corn, drained
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1 (4 oz.) can green chilies
    1 garlic clove, minced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Dredge meat in flour and brown in oil in Dutch oven.
    Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 2 1/2 hours.
