Sister'S Sweet Sour Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    50 small cucumbers
    3 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 bunch dill
    1 tsp. mixed spices
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers overnight in 1/3 cup salt to each quart of water.
    Drain and dry.
    Boil vinegar, water and sugar until clear. Add cucumbers and simmer until they lose their grass green color. Place spices and dill in bottom of jar; add pickles.
    Cover with hot syrup.
    Place dill on top and seal.
