Ingredients

1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz.)
2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. white vinegar
3/4 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Melt chocolate chips over hot (not boiling) water.
Set aside. Beat egg whites with salt until foamy.
Gradually add sugar, beating well and until stiff peaks form.
Beat in vanilla and vinegar.
Fold in melted chocolate and chopped walnuts.
Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven 10 minutes.
Remove immediately. Makes approximately 36 cookies.
