Fried Okra And Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh okra, cut into 1/2-inch slices
    2 medium size green tomatoes, coarsely chopped
    1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
    1/2 c. white cornmeal
    vegetable oil
    salt
Preparation
    Combine okra, green tomatoes and onion. Add cornmeal and toss gently.
    Pour oil to a depth of 2-inches into a large skillet. Heat to 375\u00b0.
    Fry half of the mixture until golden brown. Remove with slotted spoon and drain. Repeat procedure. Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.
