Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1/3 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. mashed, ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
Stir in oats.
With pastry blender, cut in butter until coarse crumbs form.
Stir in walnuts; set aside.
In small bowl, blend milk, vanilla and egg until well blended.
Stir in bananas until well mixed.
Add milk-banana mixture to dry ingredients; stir just until moistened.
Pour batter into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until loaf is golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
Remove and cool on rack.
Wrap in foil.
Let stand overnight in a cool, dry place before serving. Makes 1 loaf.
