Mexican Crinkle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. soft shortening
    1 egg
    2 (1 oz.) sq. chocolate, melted
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. sugar (for coating)
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1 3/4 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream together
    the shortening, sugar and eggs; stir in syrup and chocolate.
    Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon into cream mixture;
    stir
    to
    make
    stiff
    dough.
    Shape in 1-inch balls and roll
    in
    sugar.
    Place
    balls on ungreased sheet, 3 inches apart. Bake
    in a 350\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    Let stand for a few minutes.
    Makes 4 dozen cookies.
