Strawberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    2 eggs, separated
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. crushed, fresh berries (best) or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, drained
Preparation
    Cream together the butter, sugar and almond extract.
    Beat in the egg yolks one at a time.
    Sift together the dry ingredients. Add alternately with crushed berries.
    Beat egg whites stiff. Fold in.
    Line a loaf pan with greased wax paper.
    Pour in the batter.
    Bake in a preheated 325\u00b0 oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
    Test for doneness with cake tester.
    This bread is very good toasted, too.
