Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. pickling spice
Preparation

Boil beets.
Peel.
Drain and pack in jars.
(Cut large ones to fit jars.)
Bring sugar, vinegar and spice to boil and pour over beets until full.
Heat in boiling water and seal at once.
