Chicken Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 lb. chicken, boiled and chopped
1 1/2 lb. okra or 2 boxes frozen okra
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes and juice
1 c. sliced celery
1 1/2 qt. chicken broth
6 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. oregano
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 large onion
1/2 bell pepper, diced
1/4 c. oil
2 bay leaves
1 tsp. sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Mix oil and flour; brown. Add onions, pepper and celery. Cook until soft. Add tomatoes, okra and stock; cook until okra is tender. Add chicken and seasonings; simmer 1/2 hour.
