Ingredients

1 c. soft butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
4 c. Rice Krispies cereal
2 c. coconut
1 c. nuts or 1 c. chopped dates or figs (optional)
Preparation

Cream the butter, brown sugar and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Mix with creamed mixture, then add cereal and coconut.
Add nuts and dates.
Form 1-inch balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cool slightly; remove to rack.
Cool completely. Makes 4 dozen.
