Ingredients

1 1/2 c. margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda
colored sugar (optional)
Preparation

Cream together margarine and sugar; add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Sift together flour, cream of tartar and baking soda; add to batter and blend well.
Drop cookies from teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes.
Makes 2 dozen cookies.
