Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can whole corn
    milk
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 beaten egg
Preparation
    Drain corn; reserve liquid.
    Measure 1 cup of corn.
    Add enough milk to liquid to measure 1 cup.
    Sift together the dry ingredients. Combine egg, milk mixture and corn.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Mix just until moistened.
    Drop batter from tablespoon into deep, hot fat (375\u00b0).
    Fry until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve with warm syrup or powdered sugar.
